Here's what our graduates are saying about their studies at Westside Yoga:
"I was extremely happy with the YTT program at Westside Yoga. As a Master's level educator, I was impressed with the rigor and variety of the program's components. We were given a thorough introduction to many aspects of Yoga, including its history. Amber works very hard to ensure her students receive a solid foundation in Yoga theory and techniques through her teachings, a myriad of books, relevant experiences, and many experts in their fields; she planned various workshops for us lead by guest teachers in a variety of specialties. I loved the pose alignment training I received and believe that knowledge will benefit me indefinitely. Amber and her staff of teachers are skilled presenters and practitioners, and I cannot imagine having done this anywhere else! I highly recommend Westside Yoga Atlanta if you are interested in YTT or just looking for a home studio to advance your practice. Amber's passion shines through in every thing she does!”
"Participating in the Yoga Teacher Training Program at Westside Yoga is one of the best decisions I've ever made. The curriculum was well thought out, organized and so much more in depth than I could've imagined. I learned more than I expected about myself, the other trainees and teachers (who became family), and the world. I left feeling equipped and confident to go out and teach yoga on and off the mat. I wouldn't trade my experience at Westside Yoga for anything!" --Jessica

What To Expect In Our Atlanta Yoga Teacher Training
Our course has been developed over the past two decades by our Founder, Amber Barry, with valuable input and elective courses provided by our talented team of teachers.
Taught in a small-group setting, our 200 Hour Yoga Alliance RYT Yoga Teacher Training is open to practitioners of all experience levels and backgrounds. It is the most amazing journey--opening doors to new aspects of the practice that are more beautiful than your ever imagined!
Community is essential to this journey, so we create a safe space for our trainees to be authentic, and get to know their peers. We work in small groups to gain valuable experience in teaching asana, breath control, meditation and more. You will make lifelong friends, and receive the support you need to feel successful in your journey to becoming a yoga teacher.
We are committed to making sure our graduates are ready to lead, so students have live opportunities to teach throughout the program--the best way to gain valuable experience that prepares them for graduation and beyond. Teaching practice begins the first weekend that we meet, to maximize the opportunity to grow during training.
The textbooks we read in the course support our studies in yoga philosophy, anatomy, and the subtle body. Homework and recommended further study are provided at every meeting. Students work together with partners throughout the course to maximize the opportunity for growth in the practice, and make yoga a way of life.
In addition to meeting hours, trainees are also required to take 20 classes during the course (included in tuition), and are expected to complete all requirements within 2 years.
